    ROLE: Oversee and manage current and new products for CT1 Media’s interactive and digital portfolio – this includes micro sites within Courant.com, CTnow.com, CT.com and classified assets such as cars.com.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for providing excellent service to customers within CT1Media and to users, advertisers and the community through regular job duties and as a member of CT1Media team to write, sell, produce and deliver the best newspaper, websites and broadcast products possible.

    POSITION: Captioning Assistant

    ROLE: Operate a real-time voice captioning system and associated technical equipment to perform real-time English caption of live programs. Full-time and part-time positions are non-exempt. Tribune Broadcasting’s Closed Captioning Center will be located in Hartford at CT1-Media – home of FOX CT (WTIC – TV), The CT (WCCT – TV), The Hartford Courant, The Hartford Advocate, The New Haven Advocate, Fairfield County Weekly’s and Valumail.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Multi-task (hear audio, voice what was heard, proof-read developing captions – all simultaneously).
    • Utilize a keyboard by typing proper corrections and other words as necessary.
    • Maintain Closed Captioning Center quality standards for accuracy and speed.
    • Work specified on-call schedule, in addition to regular schedule.
    • Ability to sit, hear, talk, use hands and fingers. Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ROLE: Responsible for reporting, shooting and editing video news stories and producing still content from video for use in print and on-line.     POSITION: Sales Assistant

    ROLE: To provide the best customer service to our advertising customers, both internally and externally and to effectively support the sales function. Respond to customer inquiries and work with sales reps to resolve issues and ensure customer requests are addressed to meet or exceed advertiser requirements, revenue goals and established deadlines. Effectively communicate with the Client Services Reps, assuring the team receives all the necessary information for ordering in a timely and accurate manner. Provide a proactive focus and engagement to insure revenue attainment across all product lines.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain a high level of customer service for sales staff, customers and internal departments.

    • Perform general clean up of papers, skids and debris that accumulate during the workday.

    • Manual dexterity; strength to lift up to 50 pounds; the ability to concentrate on accuracy while machines are running.

    adhering to job procedures and Courant recycling practices.
