Connecticut's history is America's history — and for 250 years, nobody's chronicled it like the Hartford Courant. From the American revolution to the digital revolution, we've told the stories of the people, events and ideas that have moved us forward and shaped the future of our communities, our state and our country.

Hartford Courant 250th Anniversary

In October 2014, the Hartford Courant, America’s oldest continuously published newspaper, will celebrate its 250th anniversary. This will be a year long celebration of how The Courant has been a part of the fabric of the Connecticut community and it’s place in American history, but as importantly, we will look at the past and future of our region.

Hartford Courant 250th Anniversary Overview

We invite you to join us on our year long journey by connecting your organization across the unprecedented number of assets and platforms CT1 Media will activate in 2014.

We will recall the moments people have learned about and remember – while pointing to the future and the news yet to be made.

Each month will be built around a theme that will tell a critical piece of Connecticut’s history using articles and images from the paper’s archives to help paint a unique portrait of the people and events that shaped the state. We will take readers on a journey of our history through 12 different themes profiled in the past, present and future.
